And we have Darryl to thank for today’s Recipe…

These are the steps as stated by him…

First lay out some tin foil, and put some olive oil, salt, and lots of pepper (or a little depending on how much you love pepper, Darryl thinks everything is better with lots of pepper)

Scrub and clean your fresh dug red potatoes and snap the ends of your beans

Lay the veggies on the foil and then crush up some Sage; sprinkle it on top

Dice up a clove of garlic add it on top

Next in a very artful fashion fold up your tinfoil into a little tent

Place the tent on the grill for 15 minutes

Open the tent very carefully there will be lots of stream from the veggies

ENJOY!!!

With so many delicious herbs it is easy to get them mixed up… here is a picture guide and description…

    ROSEMARY

Rosemary is an herb in the mint family. It is a small evergreen shrub, Rosmarinus officinalis, whose  one inch leaves resemble curved pine needles. Rosemary has a tea like aroma and a piney flavor. Rosemary is used primarily  in lamb, pork, chicken, and rabbit dishes.

  BASIL

Sweet basil has a tender bright green foliage, that emit a spicy, clove-like aroma. Sweet basil leaves have a strong perfume. Basil is the main component in pesto. Basil can be used with potatoes, beans, meats and pastas. It goes great with tomatoes and mozzarella cheese!!!

SAGE

Golden Sage is a shrubby, evergreen perennial shrub with pale green and yellow leaves. Slightly bitter in flavor and highly aromatic, sage is one of the main ingredients in poultry seasoning.  It enhances meats and poultry as well as most vegetables.

 MARJORAM

Marjoram has a delicate, sweet, pleasant flavor with a slightly bitter undertone .Marjoram is the yellow green leaf of Majorana hortensis, a low growing member of the mint family. It is a great herb for adding flavor to meat dishes.

The fresh Red Potatoes are ready to be dug…..

Here is a super simple way I make a side dish out of them…

Scrub them clean in the sink under water

Fill a pot of boiling water and cook the potatoes until they are soft

While they are cooking; in the food processor add onions, garlic, a little butter, and some of your favorite herbs…. in this picture I added basil, and cilantro….

Blend up those, and then add the potatoes when they are done cooking, add some   milk to smooth them out and a touch of salt and pepper to taste…

Done and done …. serve and enjoy!!!
